Context

Following the acquisition of the T.G.I. Friday's restaurants from Whitbread a new team and central infrastructure is being established to revitalise the T.G.I. Friday's brand in the UK. This revitalization includes significant investments in restaurant refurbishment, menu innovation, food quality, service standards and marketing.

In order to support the revitalization programme a new supply chain team is being assembled. This is a central role on that team and will shape the distribution capability that is created to support the business. Overview

Plans, coordinates, and manages the distributor and supplier relationships to ensure 100% availability of product. Accountable for ensuring promotional initiatives, existing and new products are brought to market flawlessly from a distribution systems perspective. The position functions as an individual contributor and performs sourcing activities for non food product categories.

Responsibilities

  1. Manages the distributor relationships
  2. Accountable for product availability to stores
  3. Monitors and reports on distributor and supplier performance versus KPI's
  4. Provides regular communication to stakeholders of negotiated positions and supplier stock levels
  5. Develops and maintains positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders e.g. Research and Development, Operations, Marketing, and Stores
  6. Works cross-functionally to achieve goals
  7. Drives implementation of supply chain operations process improvements
  8. Works with Category Manager to optimise the suppliers used and resources available
  9. Project manages and communicates all product and supplier changes to key stakeholders
  10. Communicates and manages menu launch requirements to distributors and suppliers ensuring training and launch stock availability to agreed timescales
  11. Works with the Category Manager to manage all elements from expediting orders, verifying the receipt of goods and services, ensuring store operations satisfaction
  12. Manages inventory levels with the distributor and suppliers to minimise inventory write-offs.
  13. Facilitates product sampling and quality review sessions to monitor on-going product quality versus agreed specification
  14. Coordinates the receipt of data from internal and external sources and packages raw data, conducting necessary cleansing and validation, into usable forms for analysis and performance.
  15. Responsible for non food contract management
  16. Sources non food product requirements and manages non food supplier relationships

  3. Stock write off budget achieved
  4. Accuracy of product and supplier data feeding internal and external systems
  5. Non Foods cost of goods budget achieved

Qualifications

  1. 4-year college degree
  2. Experience in inventory management and supplier relationships
  3. Restaurant or FMCG retail background preferred
  4. Industry knowledge
