Purpose

To develop comprehensive above the line marketing programs to drive sales and covers and improve customer satisfaction, brand awareness and brand regard.

Areas of Responsibility

  1. Create, develop and execute marketing plans to hit covers and sales targets.
  2. Lead the creative agency to develop advertising to drive sales whilst building brand regard.
  3. Create and manage the media plan to support sales targets and overdeliver on share of voice by maximising budget effectiveness.
  4. Develop the digital strategy integrating the above the line communication and create and develop a customer relationship approach to the web database.
  5. Lead the PR agency to create effective ideas to drive brand regard.
  6. Develop strong promotional strategies and plans, considering both national and local activity to drive consumer visit, spend per head and margin.
  7. Manage and communicate the marketing calendar to align stakeholders on upcoming activity.
  8. Evaluate all above the line marketing activity to capture learnings and recommend future suitability.
  9. Support, test and implement a value strategy to improve customer perception and drive likelihood to revisit.
  10. Support the development of the service proposition ensuring a customised service for every guest.
  11. Review, refine and manage the marketing support for the store remodel project ensuring each store achieves their reopening sales targets.
  12. Capture, improve and spread local marketing best practice.
  13. Review licensing opportunities for the TGI Friday's brand in retail with the view to developing additional revenue streams.
  14. Build our knowledge and understanding of our customers and create insights to improve the effectiveness of our marketing. Champion the use of the GEM satisfaction results to assess and drive continual improvement.
  15. Maximise the effectiveness of promotions by providing support and communications to Operations Department (DO's) and other functional areas to achieve desired results of marketing efforts. Ensure excellence in implementation of all marketing activities.
  16. Monitor competitor above the line activity capturing learnings and assessing implications on promotional success.
  17. Develop and strengthen store-level relationships via communication, proactive response to outstanding issues and concerns.
  18. Anything else to ensure that Every Guest Leaves Happy.

Position Specific Skills and Requirements

  1. Degree educated.
  2. A degree of experience in marketing (retail / restaurant experience preferred)
  3. Experience of managing above the line campaigns and briefing and appraising creative
  4. Experience of developing promotional activity and sales growth tactics
  5. Evidence of developing media plans to fulfill sales targets
